At Regent Phu Quoc, celebrations of Vietnam extend beyond the calendar. This season, the luxury island resort is bringing together Vietnamese culinary traditions, regional flavours and international influences for a series of dining and cultural experiences marking Vietnam National Day and Golden Week.
Recognised in the MICHELIN Guide’s 2025 Key Hotels selection, Regent Phu Quoc will host its Vietnam National Day celebrations from 29 August to 5 September at Rice Market, the resort’s Vietnamese dining destination.
The programme begins with “The Soul of Sài Gòn,” a tribute to Cơm Tấm, one of southern Vietnam’s most beloved dishes. The celebration continues with “Việt Nam, Served with Pride,” led by Executive Sous Chef Huan Tran, bringing together flavours from across the country with live performances.
The festivities reach their centrepiece on 2 September with “The Spirit of Việt Nam,” an evening celebrating the diversity of Vietnamese cuisine through regional specialities and live culinary theatre.
A taste of Taiwan arrives in Phu Quoc
The celebrations continue into October with Regent Phu Quoc’s Golden Week programme, running from 1 to 11 October.
Titled “Where Lanterns Meet the Sea,” the programme brings together Regent Taipei and Regent Phu Quoc for a cross-cultural dining experience inspired by Taiwanese traditions. Guests can expect dim sum, Taiwanese family-style dishes and a series of specially curated dinners, including “A Feast of Traditions” and “By Lantern Light.”
Cocktail culture also takes centre stage on 2 and 3 October, when The Haflington bar from Regent Taipei takes over Bar Jade for “An Evening of Hanoi’s Finest Mixology.”
Set against Phu Quoc’s tropical coastline, the programme offers a fitting reflection of the island’s increasingly sophisticated culinary scene, where Vietnamese heritage meets contemporary luxury and international influences.
